The Position

Global Practice Lead – Strategic Pipelining – Job sharing (50-70%)

Strategic Pipelining AoP is part of the Integrated Workforce Strategies Chapter and is responsible for the Global Strategic Pipelining and Succession & Talent Management philosophy, strategies and activities. In the AoP we drive the shift from position based pipelines, to pipelining for critical skills and combining internal and external talent within one pipeline.

We act as advisers to the business and their leadership team to understand strategic business objectives & needs and develop actionable talent strategies, strategic pipelines and talent activities in close collaboration with the different P&C Chapters and other stakeholders. We prepare and facilitate key People Discussions, on divisional and corporate level.

In the spirit of modeling innovation, we are now seeking a part-time leader (50-70%) in job-sharing with the existing AoP lead (working 50%). You will co-lead and share all managerial, strategic and operational tasks and responsibilities. In particular, you will:

  • Provide strategic leadership for the AoP and chapter including contributing to the vision, strategy, planning, budgeting, governance and organization design

  • Act as AoP Architect / Spine reviewer on practice related topics

  • Drive the OneRoche mindset within the practice and beyond

  • Accountable for and foster capability development for the practice

  • Catalyze action through the formation of squad or work product teams to deliver on prioritized work

  • Monitor and drive success of the practice area for all regions / globally

  • Drive harmonization of processes and practices

  • Ensure diversity in pipelines

  • Participate in the staffing, coaching, developing of AoP team members, and ensures availability of capabilities according to demand

  • Bring expertise either in talent pipelining, succession & talent management and understand how the talent landscape has changed over the years and continues to change

  • Are able to successfully work in ambiguity to create and shape something new and impactful

  • Have a proven track record of coming up with new ideas and approaches, while also having the tenacity to conceptually fleshing them out and implementing them with others

  • Have a diverse educational and/or professional background and a breadth of experience across different business and geographic environments

Further Requirements and Information:

  • Significant years of experience in People & Culture with experience in strategic pipelining, succession & talent management

  • Limited global travel required

  • This job can be performed out of any of our Roche locations globally

  • This is a job sharing (50-70%) position
